Over the last year, she has compiled an impressive record competing mainly in Awesome Championship Wrestling, with appearances stretching beyond that promotion. Her success in ACW's women's division earned her a spot in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's new tournament to crown the first Knockouts TV Champion.
Earning Her Place
The championship was introduced at Slammiversary, and Vicki joined a select group of independent wrestlers competing for the title. Her road to the tournament wasn't straightforward—she had previously lost to Indi Hartwell. Nevertheless, she earned her position through relationships she had built over time.
"I had a really great, still have a really great, relationship with Tommy Dreamer and a lot of the opportunities that I had had in TNA had come from him, and he made me earn them like I should have," Vicki explained to Fox News Digital.
Her TNA journey has spanned roughly three to four years, during which she steadily climbed through smaller opportunities. Each appearance built momentum, leading to what she views as her first major match—a chance to prove herself on a bigger stage.
Independent Spirit
Vicki's tournament run stands out because she remains an unsigned performer. Among competitors that included several WWE stars, only two independent women's wrestlers qualified. Vicki and Gabby Forza represented the independent circuit in this championship race.
"No matter what happens, being able to be a part of history of TNA as an unsigned talent, … there was only two independent women's wrestlers in the entire world in that tournament mixed in with some WWE people. So that, to me, says a lot for me, and Gabby Forza was the other one. I feel like it says a lot that the work that we had put in over the years really paid off. So, no matter what happens, I can say that I was a part of TNA history and that can't be erased."
Belief in TNA's Future
While some fans have been quick to predict TNA's decline, Vicki remains optimistic about the promotion's future. She recognizes that wrestling companies naturally go through ups and downs, but sees these as normal cycles rather than signs of trouble.
"I think people just like to point the finger at everyone but themselves in life," she told Fox News Digital. "So, I just think a lot of companies, they flounder every now and then. It just happens, where there's highs, there's lows, there's highs, there's lows. It's just how it is. It's how wrestling is. It's been like that since the beginning of time."
Her confidence comes from experience. Having seen TNA weather difficult times before, she believes the company has shown impressive resilience. For Vicki, TNA is exactly where she wants to continue her career, even if WrestleMania remains a long-term goal.
"I think TNA will survive and they have survived much worse. So, I think right now, for me personally, that's where I want to be. Obviously, I would love to be walking down the ramp at WrestleMania, but you have to think realistically, and I think that's a great spot for me. I think they are doing great things. I think TNA is the spot. I do."
