TNA Star Elayna Black Shares Her Wrestling Journey

From Childhood Dream to TNA Roster

Explorehotelworld.com – TNA star Elayna Black shares her story of joining the promotion that captivated her as a child. After leaving WWE in 2025, the former Cora Jade entered the wrestling world as a highly sought-after free agent. Her journey took her through Atomic Legacy Wrestling, Black Label Pro, and Game Changer Wrestling before she stepped away for personal reflection.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling became the natural choice for Black. The connection went beyond professional interests—she grew up watching TNA and developed a deep admiration for Jeff Hardy and The Beautiful People. Speaking with Fox News Digital, Black revealed this fascination began long before her wrestling career took off.

The Beautiful People: A Childhood Obsession

Black's wrestling fandom evolved from WWE to TNA during her youth. She recalled how discovering TNA opened her eyes to the broader wrestling landscape.

At the time I started watching TNA, Jeff Hardy was in the company. So, I was a huge Jeff Hardy fan. I started watching WWE first. At first, that was the only wrestling company I knew. When you're a kid, you don't really know anything else. And then slowly I discovered TNA and you discover, oh, Jeff Hardy was in WWE, and I was young, so I didn't know.

TNA star Elayna Black shares how her personal style aligned with Hardy's aesthetic—she loved black nail polish and was going through an emo phase. But her ultimate dream centered on The Beautiful People during their three-member era with Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne.

But my all-time favorites were The Beautiful People, specifically when it was the three of them at the time. It was Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne. They were like my gods. You could not tell me anything. I was going to be The Beautiful People. I was going to be in The Beautiful People.

Her devotion ran deep. The Beautiful People's theme song became her first ringtone on a pink flip phone from fifth grade. Remarkably, she emailed TNA at age twelve hoping to join the faction, and that childhood dream eventually came true.

Career Decisions and Finding Her Place

Black officially joined TNA's main roster in January. She explained that she initially resisted signing with any promotion, wanting to ensure she made the right decision.

I think for a while I didn't really want to sign anywhere. Obviously, I knew eventually I wanted to be somewhere just because that's what I love to do. But I think for a while, my mindset was just wanting to prove myself otherwise.

TNA star Elayna Black shares how her wrestling journey began at fifteen when she left high school for training. Now twenty-five, she recognized that a decade of reflection after setbacks was essential for her mental health and career direction.

Despite TNA's partnership with WWE, Black concluded the promotion offered the ideal environment for her growth. She wanted to prove herself independently but found TNA's platform perfectly suited to her ambitions.

At first, I was a bit hesitant with TNA just because of the WWE partnership. And that's nothing against WWE at all. I loved my time there, but that goes back to me saying I wanted to prove myself somewhere else and I kind of wanted to be as far away from WWE as possible at the time just to prove who I was without them.

Black expressed enthusiasm about contributing to TNA's continued rise, fulfilling a childhood dream she had held since sending that first email at age twelve.
