Graham, who was 71 years old, died from an aortic dissection caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to preliminary medical examiner findings.
"We like to take a look at the true worth of a man. We like to take a look at what these members of Congress have actually done. Not the way that they cover it in mainstream media, but instead, the way of what their impact is and the way it should be covered," Piker explained to his viewers before launching into his critique.
A Harsh Characterization
During his broadcast, the streamer placed Graham within a category of particularly aggressive political figures. He characterized the late senator as someone who demonstrated extraordinary enthusiasm for military conflict throughout his decades-long career.
"Lindsey Graham, in a long list of demonic entities, was exceptionally bloodthirsty. A bloodthirsty odious monster who loved war. There was never a war that Lindsey Graham did not fall in love with," he stated emphatically.
Piker also addressed what he saw as contradictory messaging around Graham's legacy. The senator had long been known for his pro-life stance, yet his death prompted many outlets to rush with positive tributes.
Political Reactions Pour In
The streamer was not alone in offering critical perspectives on Graham's passing. Several political commentators quickly shared their thoughts on social media platforms, with many expressing relief rather than sorrow at the senator's death.
Initially, Piker ridiculed a social media tribute that celebrated Graham's relationship with Israel, responding with a simple "lmao" to the commemorative post. The Young Turks co-host Ana Kasparian also weighed in on X, offering just two words to summarize her feelings: "Good riddance."
"Lindsey Graham is pro-life and yet Lindsey Graham has died. Now, today we're going to be talking about his legacy, as many of the outlets are rushing to talk about Lindsey Graham's background and how wonderful of a guy he is and how awesome he was and polite conversations. We of course don't do that here on the HasanAbi broadcast," Piker remarked.
Far-right commentator Nick Fuentes echoed Kasparian's sentiment with the identical phrase "Good riddance." Meanwhile, Cenk Uygur, co-creator of The Young Turks, humorously imagined Graham continuing his argumentative nature even in the afterlife.
"Lindsey Graham has moved on to the next step in his journey, trying to convince Hades to attack Zeus and Poseidon," Uygur wrote. "He says it'll only take a couple of weeks and won't require any ground troops. And there's no way Poseidon can close the Strait."

Not all reactions were critical. Former MSNBC analyst and Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt offered a more nuanced assessment in a Substack publication, describing Graham as "a lonely and unprincipled man who betrayed his country for power and his decency for attention."
Meanwhile, Graham's political allies provided numerous positive tributes. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to honor the senator, writing that Graham "was always working" and describing him as "a true American Patriot." Trump added, "Lindsey will be greatly missed!!!" and "So sad!" to his message.
Graham's office had not yet issued a formal response to inquiries from Fox News Digital regarding these various reactions to the senator's passing.
