Madonna, 67, slips into a naughty bridal outfit… 42 years after she modeled a wedding gown for Like A Virgin
Madonna, 67, Revives Vintage Bridal Style in Dolce & Gabbana Campaign
Madonna, at 67, has stepped into a bridal ensemble adorned with lace gloves and a refined veil for Dolce & Gabbana’s latest campaign. The design appears to draw inspiration from her 1984 music video for “Like A Virgin,” where she famously wore a daring wedding dress.
The color images, shared on Instagram on Friday, followed the release of the black-and-white commercial featuring Madonna as the bride. The caption, “LA BAMBOLA … 🩷,” translates to “The Doll” in Italian, a subtle homage to her iconic role in the classic video.
‘LA BAMBOLA … 🩷,’ the caption read, which literally translates to The Doll in Italian.
Madonna has continued her collaboration with the Italian design duo, serving as the face of their 2025 and 2026 collections. Her figure was accentuated by a corseted top, lace-hemmed undergarments, and fishnet stockings, paired with white heels for a timeless finish.
Earlier in the week, she made a striking appearance at Dolce & Gabbana’s Milan Fashion Week event, seated beside Anna Wintour as the Fall-Winter 2026-27 collection commenced. Other attendees captured the moment as she embraced actor Alberto Guerra, with whom she recently collaborated on a Dolce & Gabbana campaign.
The designers have long celebrated Madonna as a cultural icon, with standout moments including her 1991 appearance in a stone- and crystal-encrusted bodice at the New York premiere of “Truth Or Dare.” Their work for her 1992 Erotica tour and the 2001 Drowned World Tour also showcased her evolving style.
Her most recent appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana showroom was for the Spring-Summer 2025 collection, where she wore a lace veil. This time, her signature blonde hair was left unbound, and she opted for a black blazer over a dark minidress, paired with turquoise leather gloves that added a pop of color.
The Fall-Winter 2026-27 collection highlighted transparent lace gowns and skirts reminiscent of Madonna’s early aesthetic, alongside large, pinstriped suits that echoed her iconic “Vogue” music video look. Models executed a graceful twirl in front of Madonna and Wintour, ensuring the mirrored double-breasted suits with lapels on both sides were highlighted.
Both style-makers wore dark sunglasses as they squatted in the low front-row seats, Madonna wrapping her arms around her legs. Attentive during the show, they privately exchanged impressions at the end. Following the presentation, the designers approached Madonna to express their admiration, then escorted her backstage for private discussions.
