Fourth suspect arrested over Jewish charity ambulance arson attack
Authorities have detained a fourth individual linked to the recent arson incident targeting ambulances owned by a Jewish charity in north London, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday morning at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. A man was observed exiting the courtroom with police, though his identity was not immediately disclosed.
The CPS indicated that four people were involved in the attack. Three of them—Hamza Iqbal, 20, Rehan Khan, 19, and a 17-year-old boy with British-Pakistani heritage—appeared in court this morning and were granted custody until further notice. They face charges of arson with intent to damage property and endangering life through reckless behavior.
“There is substantial evidence the attack was a deliberate and focused act against the Jewish community,” the court was informed.
Two additional suspects, aged 45 and 47, were apprehended last week and released on bail pending a decision in late April. The prosecution emphasized the coordinated nature of the incident, suggesting it was not a random act but a calculated effort to target Jewish interests.
